Brooke White Biography

Brooke White grew up in Mesa, Arizona, and currently lives in Van Nuys, California. Before auditioning for American Idol, Brooke was a nanny. She has performed as a solo artist with a backup band. She began singing at age 15 and also plays the piano and guitar.

In 2006, Brooke released her debut full-length album "Songs From the Attic", her musical diary, on the independent label New Millennium Records Group(NMRG) distributed nationally by TNT Media Group Inc.

Brooke can be seen on the hit FOX television series American Idol every Tuesday at 8/7c, & Wednesday at 9/8c.

Around 15 or 16 years old... high school play.

A little bit; I'm not the most technical singer.

What other talents do you have?
I'm heavily right-brained, anything "artsy fartsy", drawing, decorating, music, doing hair... beautifying.

If you don't make it on American Idol, what will you do?
I'll be a "mom", another dream I look forward to fulfilling some day!

What are your personal goals in life?
Wow...there are many, but my main goals are to raise a happy family and share music with the world - kinda big ones!

What album would your friends be surprised you own?
I don't think my friends would be surprised by anything I listen to. I'm into everything... well almost.

Do you have any rituals or things you do before you perform?
Pray! Drink lots of water... do a little dance. :-)

What is your most embarassing moment?
Yikes, I can't decide on just one.

Making the Top 24 was pretty cool.

If you couldn't sing, which talent would you most like to have?
I would love to be athletic...not an athletic bone in my body. :-( Or, be good at math!

Who is your favorite judge and why?
I love 'em all, they all said, "YES!"

What would people be surprised to learn about you?
No surprises here. :-(

Do you have any lucky charms?
Not really, but my husband decided that he wasn't gonna cut his hair until I get "cut" - he's got a little "fro" going on. :-)

What's been your toughest obstacle in life?
Overcoming my own internal battles with confidence, always working on it.

Do you think the audition process was fair?
Absolutely, everyone had their moment to sing their lil' hearts out to the judges, everyone - all 100,000 of them.

What has been your favorite "Idol" moment in the past six seasons?
I don't have a favorite, I was always intrigued by Blake's arrangements...quite creative.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I wish I wouldn't be such a worrier - I wish I could just let go and relax, yep.

How do you plan on differentiating yourself in the competition?
Just be myself. That sounds cliche, but that's my plan.

Hang out with my family, play games, eat a yummy steak on a yacht.

I wish I could have met my Grandpa White before he passed away, but I wasn't born...some day.

Carrie or Kelly - great voices, great songs.

If you could sing/perform in any venue, where would you perform?
How about the Kodak Theater :-) or the Hollywood Bowl... or my living room.

Where do you draw inspiration from?
Livin' & lovin'.

When were you happiest and why?
Lots of happy moments, getting married, making the Top 24 and when my Mom made me eggs benedict for my birthday. So yummy!

Be yourself.

What do you think gives you the edge in this competiion?
I'm not good at answering these kind of questions, I think, ah, my edge. I'm not very edgy and that is my edge. :)
